Family Groups and LGBT Activist Uniting Against Bill That Could Make Pedophiles a Protected Class – The Epoch Times, 2023/06/14
In an unlikely alliance, Christian family values groups and an LGBT activist have signed a petition against a proposed Connecticut bill they say could make pedophiles a protected sexual minority.
The bill, HB 6638, would revise the language of the state’s anti-discrimination statutes.
The current definition of “sexual orientation” in Connecticut law excludes protections for “any behavior that is a sex offense crime.” An update to the law would remove that wording.

The bill would redefine sexual orientation as “a person’s identity in relation to the gender or genders to which they are romantically, emotionally, or sexually attracted, including any identity that a person may have previously expressed or is perceived by another person to hold.”
Because of that critics are sounding the alarm, fearing the new legal language could make it unlawful to fire an employee with a sexual attraction for children—even one working at a business focused on serving minors.

The law doesn’t legalize pedophilia, polygamy, or bestiality. But if signed into law, the new language could be interpreted to give protections to people who practice those sex crimes, critics argue.
People are trying to normalize this criminal activity that harms children.

Edward Fredrick Wackerman of Mariposa, Calif., was busted Friday on suspicion of arson for allegedly igniting the Oak Fire, which destroyed 127 homes, caused thousands of people to evacuate and ravaged nearly 20,000 acres of vegetation in July 2022.

Black folk will NEVER get cash reparations on a large scale. There may a local government that’s crazy enough to do it… but never on a large scale. Black folk who are thirsting for this to happen are being played like a fiddle.

On Saturday, the California Reparations Task Force voted on the final set of recommendations to send to the state’s legislatures, formally recommending that the state pays up to $1.2 million to every qualifying black resident.

Payments received by black residents would be broken down into types of historical discrimination, with black residents affected by bank redlining, for example, receiving $3,366 for each year they lived in California between the early 1930s to the late 1970s, adding up to $148,009.
For those living in California between 1970 and 2020 that were affected by over-policing and mass incarceration, black residents would receive roughly $2,352 for each year they lived in the state, amounting to upwards of $115,260.
In total, a black Californian around the age of 71 that has lived in the state for their entire life could receive up to $1.2 million.
Where did they get these projected dollars amount from – it they don’t plan on giving people checks? They are just playing with people. And just a reminder from this article…
The panel does not have any legal weight, and the Saturday vote included only recommendations for the state legislature.
This panel has been working on this for two years. They haven’t come up with a solution. They are unofficial. I am unsure if they are getting paid for this – but it wouldn’t surprise me.
Starbucks was ordered to pay $25 million to an ex-manager who claimed she was fired for being white – Yahoo/Quartz, 2023/06/14
On Monday (June 12), a federal jury in New Jersey awarded $25.6 million to a former Starbucks manager who claimed she was fired for being white following the arrest of two Black men at a Philadelphia store that sparked nationwide condemnation.
The jury decided to award the ex-manager, Shannon Phillips, $25 million in punitive damages and $600,000 in compensatory damages after finding Starbucks had violated her federal civil rights and New Jersey laws prohibiting racial discrimination.

In her initial complaint (pdf), Phillips claimed Starbucks “took steps to punish white employees who had not been involved in the arrests, but who worked in and around the city of Philadelphia, in an effort to convince the community that it had properly responded to the incident.”
She also claimed that Starbucks did not take action against the Black manager for the Rittenhouse Square store, Paul Sykes. Phillips had been an employee of Starbucks for almost 13 years, managing about 100 retail stores across Philadelphia, Delaware, and parts of New Jersey and Maryland.
Wow – she wasn’t involved in the store where the black men were arrested – in fact the store manager involved was black… but they fired her simply for being white to appease the social justice environment. Good for her for pushing this through.

Greta Thunberg is facing backlash for deleting a 2018 tweet on the fate of humanity and climate change.
The tweet in question featured a link and quote from an article warning that humanity would meet its end if fossil fuel use did not cease by 2023.

The Associated Press fact-checked several reports on the tweet’s deletion, claiming they are “missing context.”
As it explains, neither the scientist paraphrased in the article nor Thunberg herself claimed that humanity would end by 2023.
Harvard University professor of atmospheric chemistry James Anderson, who is paraphrased in the article, claimed in 2018 that recovery from climate change will be impossible if drastic action isn’t taken by 2023.
Thunberg then quoted the article and its embellished lead paragraph, claiming that humanity would be “wiped out” if fossil fuels weren’t stopped by 2023.

Robertson’s death Thursday was announced by his broadcasting network. No cause was given.
Robertson’s enterprises also included Regent University, an evangelical Christian school in Virginia Beach; the American Center for Law and Justice, which defends the First Amendment rights of religious people; and Operation Blessing, an international humanitarian organization.

Hazy skies, the fiery, red sun, and the smell of smoke caught the attention of residents from Maryland to New England on Tuesday. The air quality spiked to very unhealthy levels across the Northeast on Wednesday morning as wildfire smoke from Canada poured into the region.
On Wednesday morning, the famous New York City skyline once again disappeared behind a hazy veil.

A ground stop was issued at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey and LaGuardia Airport in New York City on Wednesday afternoon due to low visibility from the smoke and haze, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The airport in Philadelphia also been shutdown.

Big Gay is foot-stomping mad that Target has spoiled their very special month by removing “Pride” merchandise from shelves and more than 200 left-wing and LGBTQ+ groups have given the retail giant 24 hours to put it back.

Faced with an unexpected and intense backlash over pictures and videos of the “tuck friendly” women’s bathing suits with “extra crotch coverage” for dudes to accommodate their packages as well as other homosexual-themed items, including merchandise specifically targeting children, the big-box retailer sought to mitigate the damage to its brand by moving the rainbow-festooned displays from the front of some stores to less visible locations, a perfectly reasonable reaction but one that only served to infuriate the relentlessly aggressive movement that insists upon complete and total compliance with the in-your-face flaunting of its sexuality.
If you are wondering why these companies are acting the way they are – they are getting bombarded from over 200 organizations on a regular basis. This is a coordinated effort to pressure these companies to agitate normal American heterosexual culture. Understand that these companies are not embrace these values on their own… they are being pressured to do this.
Target lost a ton of market value because the people did not like the merchandise on the shelf that promoted the LGBT lifestyle. So they either took the stuff off of the shelf or moved it to a less visible position.
And as is the case when the agitators are ignored – they ramp up the tantrum. Now they are declaring a national state of emergency in saying their rights are being rolled back – which is simply crazy.
Target has to choose who they will listen to. All of these companies have to make a choice of how to respond to these groups of agitators.
Somewhere along the line, whomever is running the team of agitators started using private businesses as their means of leveraging the culture. Instead of using government regulations to implement what they want to do (which they can’t do that legally in the U.S.), the pressure people who lead these companies to do the work of steering the culture in a certain direction.

The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has unveiled the city’s first public health vending machine, hosted by Services for the Underserved (S:US), to promote 24/7 access to lifesaving harm reduction supplies conveniently and anonymously to meet a goal outlined in the mental health plan.
Public health vending machines are an innovative, low-barrier strategy to reduce stigma and reach New Yorkers who may not already be connected to harm reduction services. Similar machines in the United States, Europe, and Australia have demonstrated success at reducing rates of overdose and infectious disease.

S:US will oversee the vending machine’s operation at 1676 Broadway in Brooklyn, outside of a supportive housing facility run by the organization. The machine will stock a variety of health and wellness supplies, such as naloxone (Narcan®), hygiene kits, and safer sex kits. S:US will restock the machine and include items that meet the needs of the local community alongside harm reduction supplies.

Overdose deaths in New York City have reached historically high levels. In 2021, there were 2,668 overdose deaths in NYC, compared with 2,103 in 2020. In 2021, 84% of overdose deaths involved an opioid. Fentanyl, a highly potent opioid, was involved in 80% of all overdose deaths. There were 1,370 confirmed overdose death in the first half of 2022. If current trends continue, 2022 will be the deadliest year on record for overdose.

New York City Vending Machine Offers Free Narcan and Crack Pipes to Residents – Breitbart, 2023/06/06
Public health officials unveiled the machine on Monday in Brooklyn at 1676 Broadway, ABC7 New York reported. Less than 24 hours after its installation the machine was empty, according to the New York Post.
The machine cost the city $11,000 to install, and it also offers residents free COVID-19 testing, feminine sanitation products, hygiene kits, Vitamin C, and first aid kits. Residents must simply enter their zip code to gain access.

The New York City vending machine is stocked with a ‘safe smoking kit’ which includes a heavy stem, mouthpiece, pusher, 6 screens, chore filter, and lip balm.
The kit is produced by Smoke Works Pipes, a company which claims that ‘pipes are harm reduction.’
“Pipes make it easy to “go low and go slow,” the company’s website stated. “Loading a rig takes a lot of time and if you’re in a hurry it’s easy to make mistakes and hurt yourself or accidentally take too much. With pipes, you can start with a lower dosage and hit as you go until you’ve reached your desired concentration.”
Last year, the Biden Administration approved $30 million in funding for a 2022 Harm Reduction Program Grant which would hand out safe smoking kits/supplies to users, Breitbart reported.
So let’s understand. Instead of using resources to stop drugs from coming in through the border and encourage people to not use drugs… We let the drugs in freely, people die from overdoses, and instead use the resources to manage the effects of the illegal drugs consumed. This is inhumane.
