Contract for the American Dream

9 Aug 2011

Contract for the American Dream

This is the Progressive Version to the Contract for America back in the 1990s.

Apparently they canvassed the country in soliciting and reviewing ideas and this is what they came up with for improving the economy. There are general ideas and goals – but no specifics that I noted.

I don’t think there is anything new here, but it’s all put together in one presentation.

I may go thru bits and pieces of this in the near future, but suffice it to say that I don’t think it would help our economy.

Soros Watch: Buying into Food and Grain Production

31 Mar 2011

George Soros making a move to control food and grain production

Financier and progressive activist George Soros is formulating a move to control food and grain production by purchasing grain elevators in late March in several parts of the United States through his subsidiary company Gavilon Grain. With some purchases made on March 29th, Soros will become the third largest grain company behind Cargill, and Archer-Daniels Midland.

When food brokers consolidate into just a few large companies controlling the majority of a market, then prices can be set not by supply and demand, but by corporate decisions and manipulation of supply.

Details of the purchase is here. – Gavilon to buy Union Elevator PNW grain elevators

These grain elevators were purchased in Washington. They are the #1 exporter of U.S. wheat. Now Soros is in our food production. Not good for someone who wants to put America in its place.

Soros Watch: Economic Conference to Set Int’l Rules

29 Mar 2011

Unreported Soros Event Aims to Remake Entire Global Economy

On April 8, a group he’s funded with $50 million is holding a major economic conference and Soros’s goal for such an event is to “establish new international rules” and “reform the currency system.”

Soros wants a new ‘multilateral system,” or an economic system where America isn’t so dominant.

“Reorganizing the world order will need to extend beyond the financial system and involve the United Nations, especially membership of the Security Council,’ he wrote. ‘That process needs to be initiated by the US, but China and other developing countries ought to participate as equals.”

Soros emphasized that point, that this needs to be a global solution, making America one among many. “The rising powers must be present at the creation of this new system in order to ensure that they will be active supporters.”

…it isn’t just designed to change global economic rules. It also is designed to put America in its place – part of a multilateral world the way Soros wants it.
